About Tascam SS-CDR200

The SS-CDR200 Solid State and CD Digital Audio Recorder from Tascam provides versatile and stable audio recording, ideal for broadcasting and contract applications. The slim rackmount chassis can fit into any standard 19" equipment rack for easy installation. The recorder can record audio as WAV or MP3 files to meet a variety of needs. Files can be stored on Compact Flash, SD/SDHC, or USB memory for ultimate convenience. You can also burn files to an audio CD via the slot-loading CD transport.

The rear panel offers balanced stereo analog XLR inputs and outputs, as well as unbalanced stereo analog RCA inputs and outputs. There are also coaxial digital RCA I/O connectors, allowing you to connect a variety of consumer and professional audio sources to the recorder. The SS-R200 offers multiple playback modes including continuous, single, programmed and random.

You can even adjust the playback speed without changing the pitch. A computer keyboard can be connected via PS/2 or USB for editing file names, transport control and flash start. There are also RS-232C and Parallel control connectors, which support the optional RC-20 and RC-SS20 direct play remote controls. The remotes provide up to 20 tracks of flash start.
