I was looking and researching for several weeks about tripods before buying my first one. This tripod met my criteria. Not only was the price a steal, but it is lightweight, strong, and just flat out reliable. I like how small it folds up and stores onto my backpack. Also the base of the tripod legs have an optional spike bottom that ensures that important stability.
