CHECK YOUR SPEC!

By

from Memphis, TN  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I am sure this is a fine budget ball head, but thanks to what I am guessing is an error on the Adorama item page, I now have a ballhead I can't use. The tech spec on it says clearly "Head Mount1/4-20" and this is perfect for me, but I get the item in today and the head mount is a 3/8". I am VERY upset about this, because I do not have the time to ship it back and deal with the wait for an item I ordered to help me on a project I am doing this week. I will try to get the tech specs changed or clarified so others don't end up in this situation, but BEWARE the tech spec for now.

First monopod and ballhead

By

from NE Iowa  -  Photo Enthusiast

This is my first monopod/ballhead so I did not want to spend too much on them. As I get used to the rig I will discover what I like and need in a better one should the need arise. I use it for my DSLR with telephoto zoom lens and my Mamiya 645 with a heavy winder and it supports both kits just fine and is easy to adjust and use. It is attached to a Benro A48F monopod.

I don't like how I can't just pop the plate in from any side. This SLOWS me down.
