Being only USB 1.1, it's uses are limited. For tethered shooting, it's usefulness is restricted to time-lapse shooting but low bandwidth seriously limits usefulness.
The cable is amazing, if you like shooting tethered get couple of these, you will never regret it.
USB cable used to reposition laser printer to other side of my office. No installation problems...works great.
Powered USB cable allows the 16' rule to be broken when attaching digital camera to computer while shooting tethered. I shoot using two 16' cables, and the 6' cable to camera. Allows a lot of flexibility.
