Boris FX Continuum Lens Blur Unit for Mac (Download)

The Boris FX Continuum Lens Blur Unit for Mac (Download) provides image-processing effects via a set of 3 multi-processor accelerated filters that are compatible with Mac OS based computers. Lens Blur incorporates the BCC Lens Blur filter, BCC Lens Shape filter and the BCC Lens Transition filter to help render the Bokeh (blur) effect to images.

Emulation of lens defocus or rack-focus effect is provided by the BCC Lens Blur filter, which can be used to transform the out-of-focus highlights in an image to take the shape of the lens diaphragm. Similar defocus or rack-focus effect capabilities rendering a designer effect are offered via the BCC Lens Shape filter. An image input can be utilized to create the highlight shape in this filter.

Specular details highlighted in outgoing and incoming images can be modified using the defocus or rack-focus effect via the BCC Lens Transition filter, which acts as a wipe filter. User-based control of velocity-of-transition is also possible using this filter. Fully automatic operation in Avid or Apple NLE host environments for the BCC Lens Transition filter along with a manual override option is also available.

The BCC Lens Blur and BCC Lens Shape filters offer a comprehensive and absolute depth-of-field option (Z-depth), allowing for control over the depth and position of the focus field using a different image.

Wide support and compatibility options are available as the Continuum Lens Blur can be used with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Final Cut Express and Apple Motion image processing software.
