Learn to use it the right way
Users complained the Unit was unsteady, needed a second button and second hole on the original 055 or 30xx columns. The fact is this adapter is not suppose to be used on the Center Column in the upside down or right side up configuration. Mount the adapter separate from the column in the top mounting position. When mounted there the leg angle can be set at the maximized position with the camera almost on the ground in a very stable configuration. If you need adjustments buy the the short column adapter. This low angle center column adapter isn't meant to be used on the supplied center column of the 055 or 30XX series tripods. Hope this helps

Not useful with long lenses
I found nothing positive about this adaptor for use with a long lens (on my 3021 Pro). The adapter is shorter than the clamp and simply does not hold any weight securely. This adaptor will probably go in my trash heap and be replaced with a short column.

“They carry the accessories!”
The adapter helps to get the camera close to the ground when shooting, however the unit needs a second bullet to help stabilized it into the center column which also needs a second hole.
