I love this tripod, this is my first choice out of my 3 tripods! I take this thing everwhere, its very quickly setup, yet very strong! Only downside is when I have to take a long hike to setup and I strap it to my tamrac pack it gets heavy very quickly. But I would still not trade it for anything, I love it! Great buy!

What a great tripod! I have used similar tripods which cost hundreds more and this one is the best value/cost! Don't need a center column which swivels and tilts? Then this is the one for you. Along with the 486 ballhead, I have shot several PRO assignments and found the tripod and head to be very stable, setup and break down is quite fast, and it looks great! I don't use QR plates so the 486 was a natural choice for the head. I haven't used the low-angle feature, but it's nice to have if I need it someday. Are there better tripods available? Yes. Are you going to find a better one for this price? No!

The 3021BN is one of the most versatile and popular tripods in the Manfrotto range. This reed version is lightweight and portable enough to take in the field, yet strong enough for a medium format camera, small view cameras, spotting scope and the latest generation of digital video cameras.
