I use it for a light

I use these mounts for my LiteGear lights and they are perfect! I did not need to get a whole rail system with these mounts.

A truly great product

Manifrotto always comes through for me. This boom is amazingly versatile and very nicely built and finished. It is exceptionally light weight yet much more rigid and stable due to its larger diameter tubing. It reaches a good six to seven feet at least, plus it raises and lowers enough to get down table-height or well overhead. I am impressed and very, very happy with my decision to purchase this model :-)

I just ordered another one.

I have a small room the boom does not take up any room on the floor no stand to have to work around just swing the boom out to where you need it and you are ready to go. It is very easy to mount.

Great Product

I bought two of these for my studio. I have a fairly small space and wanted to free up the floor. One on each side works for my main and hair lights. Smooth movement side to side, up and down increases the versatility. Love them!

Good- Inexpensive

I've been using these for decades- great for positioning lights around the perimeter of a studio without stand clutter. Don't use the enclosed hardware though unless you want a lawsuit- go to a hardware store and get some good lag bolts and masonry bits.

Great product

I'm using this product in studio - so floor space is always at a premium - mainly as a hair light, attached to an auto pole. So far, it's working great - you can swing it out of the way when you don't need it - it will also adjust vertically for clients on a chair or on the floor - or children - any situation where you need the light lower. Great addition to the studio.

Does the job

This is a good product. The only reason I checked 'bulky' is that I was attaching it to a tension pole and super clamps - once a couple of the screws were in place, everything was good to go. I'm using it with my hair light - it's freeing up floor space - I can swing it out of the way when not in use - the range of motion and therefore the coverage possibilities is excellent - anyone with a smaller studio will really benefit by using this product.
