You can mount these on your telephoto lenses and extra bodies and make them tripod mountable. The difference is you can mount things on your Manfrotto/Bogen tripods very, very quickly. Snap, and you are there! Couple this with a Black Rapid FastenRT-1, and the combo can't be beat for very speedy and high quality tripod mounting of your gear.

Picked 1 of these up to put on my 70-200 so I wouldnt have to take the one that came with the ballhead off the camera all the time to switch between lenses. It does exactly what it is supposed to.

Every one of my six camera bodies and my 70-200 has this quick release plate on it. Using the 3030 tripod head, and a QR on my flash bracket. These QR plates are fast, reliable and don't wobble.

I purchased this as an extra when I bought my carbon fiber Manfrotto tripod from Adorama. I keep on one of my back up camera. It is quick secure and easy to swap onto other equipment so you may use in conjunction with your tripod... a needed accessory in my mind.

I bought this as a spare for my Manfrotto tripod, I haven't used it yet but I suppose it works fine since it is the same part that I needed to replace the old one.

I use these extra mounting plates on my Manfrotto CX694 monopod with an 322RC2 head. These quick release plates are standard on all my lenses which have mounting rings. Easy to install and take out. Well worth the money for the added convenience.

It is great to have this attached to my 100-400mm lens so I do not have to swap from other lenses to accomplish change outs!

I keep a plate attached to my 100-400 zoom and to my Canon D5 at all times. And I have one backup just in case.

Excellent. Having an additional mounting plate means that I can store it with my large and heavy macro lens and not have to worry about unscrewing it from my camera to fit to the lens. I recommend buying one of these for each lens that you own that supports mounting. It is solid and feels like it is quality.

Manfrotto's RC-2 system is very solid, well built. Easy lock down with the D ring. The rubber top grips your body well and stops all rotation between body and plate. The only weird thing is the video pin looks like a screw but it isn't, it's pressed in. At least they include a little info. sheet to explain this.

I bought two in addition to the one I misplaced that cam with my tripod. Excellent product but I have a tendency to misplace them. Comforting to have backups---in fact I think I'll order another.

If you use a tripod or monopod these little things are very important. I shoot sports, often with a heavy lens and a monopod, and it is so convenient having a plate on each long lens. They are not expensive and they save time which can be so important to the shooting I do. I have several large zoom lens and each of them has their own plate.

This thing just does what it is ment to do.. I am amazed at how well you can lock these things down with the d ring. The top grips your body well enough to easily stop all rotation between body and plate. The rc-2 interface lock extremely well.

I lost the mounting plates that came with the tripod head and thiught that I would have to buy a whole new tripod head because it was about 6 years old, but I found just what I needed in a few clicks at Adorama,[...]

I bought several of these Mounting plates so that each lens is ready to be mounted to the camera, and then firmly connected to the tripod. My camera and each lens has one, as well as my girlfriends gear. This keeps us focused on the shot no matter the lens, or camera used. Another nice feature is the "D" style clamping mechanism. This is so much better than the old style "find a coin in your pocket" type used on cheaper tripods. Well thought out.

This is the best quick release plate I've ever used. Attaching and detaching are very easy yet the grip is so secure that you have a confidence in your camera movement. You don't need a coin or screwdriver for this plate. Extremely handy. You just have to be careful not loose it because it's so small. I lost mine once and I purchased a replacement from Adorama. Thank God, the plate is available by itself. I didn't have to buy the whole head!

This is a necessity for Bogen RC-2 tripod head owners who have more than one camera and use them both simultaneously. Or, for those few remaining Pentax 645 users, two plates make it much quicker to change from portrait to landscape mode: one plate for each tripod mount hole.

I bought two of these so I could have one on my camera body and one on my long lense. They are almost an exact duplicate of the original and might be a little better.
