The Manfrotto swivel tilt Monopod Head with QR is a constant companion on my Manfrotto monopod. It has greatly improved my ability to get the shot by the ease of attachment and use. The Manfrotto swivel tilt Monopod Head with QR is a constant companion on my Manfrotto monopod. It has greatly improved my ability to get the shot by the ease of attachment and use. I recently found out how tough it is when photographing a local waterfall. I was trying to get to that special spot when I stepped in a hole and went down hard. What did I land on? My camera STILL attached to the monopod. It hit the ground before me and I landed on the monopod and then hit my head on the lens. The camera was stable enough on the monopod that it landed on the rear with very little movement with no damage other than a few scratches on one side of the lcd. The lens was unfortunately another story. It's locked up. Well after a few stitches and some major pain meds and ice packs both camera and the photographer are doing well with not a scratch on the QR Manfrotto head. The quick release is as strong as the standard head and much more convenient. I recommend it wholeheartedly for pro and amateur alike.

Not Impressed,

This unit's description says it swivels and tilts. I was disappointed to find that it does not swivel, this would be useful when this unit is used with a monopod that can be used as a tripod when the leg adapter is utilized.

Great, but have a nipik

By

This is exactly what I was looking for, BUT I wish the secondary locking system (the gold swivel pin) was more inline with other manfrotto secondary locking systems that use a push down button as a release. other than that, this is perfect!

High Quality Basic Monopod Tilt Head

By

I paired this head with a Manfrotto 681b monopod using the 3/8" screw for a secure fit. I like the safety pin for the quick release plate. The head is small and tilt is easily adjustable, although very loose when you untighten it, so be careful when adjusting. I used it with a Giottos MH-621, since I use that quick release on a tripod as well. Overall it feels solidly built and serves the intended basic tilt function.

Excellent product for it's price

By

Upon receiving my Manfrotto monopod head, I was struck with it's compactness and detail of workmanship. It worked flawlessly out of the box, and I have been using it everyday. The build quality is really fantastic, and all of this, at an extremely reasonable price. I am a very happy customer of Adorama.

Tripod swivel head

By

Very simple and well made swivel head. I particularly like the security the quick detachable plate provides when carrying the camera by the tripod. Excellent product, does the job, and typical Manfrotto quality. I highly recommend it.

easy to use

By

As a first time owner of a monopod, I wasn't sure how easy this head would be to use. Attachment was easy and the head is of excellent quality. I used the setup for outdoor nature photography in a setting where I was often in and outof my car. I had no difficulties with attaching or removing the camera from the head. The safety keeps my camera firmly in place and adjusting the angle for photographing is simple with the turning knob. The knob stays tight without camera drift. I have no complaints about this product.

Nice solid no frills head

By

love this much more than most ball heads, solid and sturdy and excellent for taking video with DSLR type cameras as well as photos with long zooms. Claims to handle 5+ pounds which it does with no issues, and can handle more with long zooms with lens collars that do a better job of balancing.

Perfect addition

By

I ordered this along with a Manfrotto monopod. It works well with monopod and the quick release plate fits my Manfrotto tripod. Nice not having to switch plates.

Does exactly what I need

By

I wanted a monopod head that would work with the tripod quick release already mounted on my camera. This was compatible and works exactly as I'd hoped.

Big help

By

I found myself frustrated with my monopod in that I couldn't easily angle my camera. This mount solved that issue. Easily attached to my monopod and camera, it provides a secure mount for my lens and camera along with the ability to angle for the shot. Initially, I had to practice lining the mount to the quick release that attaches to either the camera or lens. Now, quite easy to do.

Shopper  I have a canon Rebel TI3 with a sigma 150 -500 which weighs about 4 pds. + camera. Can I use this with a monopod???
LOUIE M  I probably wouldn't. The legs that come out are meant for smaller and lighter cameras. However, there is always the easier aspect of just standing the monopod focusing then shooting. The 5.6 lbs to me might just be a bit heavy.
