I placed two orders with two different companies as felt the first one did not understand what I was trying to purchase, but just wanted insurance one of these products would work. Adorama was the one that the sales person understood me. The photo above is exactly what I needed, the product from the other company was ridiculous and was trashed. I know this was not an expensive purchase, but the sales person spent enough time with me to determine the exact product I needed and will always return to Adorama for all my needs!

Manfrotto 088LBP Female Thread to Male Thread Adapter by Manfrotto--this plate works perfectly. I recommend it for any ballhead with a base up to 38mm or 1.5" that needs a plate that will adapt 3/8" threads to 1/4" x 20.

My ball head mount was designed for a 3/8" x 16 thread connection, and my monopod had the standard U.S. 1/4" x 20 thread mount. This allowed me to mate my ball head to my monopod. Having one specially machined would have cost over $45.

The adapter is very easy to install and remove. Holds firmly. Little over priced.

This adapter is a thread size reducer for camera/spotting scope/tripod mounting. I have a few older items that have the bigger thread recepticle, this reduces to match all of my other gear.

I used this to attach a manfrotto 486RC2 ball head with a 3/8" thread to a Leki hiking staff with a 1/4x20 thread sticking out the top. The coupling works flawlessly, and resulted in a VERY versatile, durable monopod.
