Questions & Answers

Shopper : What is the largest diameter pipe this clamp can accommodate?HARVEY V : The jaws open up to about 1 1/2 inches. However, make sure to buy the little screw in studs that you see on top. I didn't and now I've got to hunt them down separately. I believe they're threaded on both ends so that you screw one into the clamp and the other goes into the camera or a base plate that holds something. I have Nikon SB 800 flashes and they have flat plastic plates with a 1/4 20 thread on the bottom.GEORGE M : To date, the largest pipe I have had the clamp on was 1 1/4 inches. Hope this helps.FRED B : wide open it is 1.5 inches so your pipe will need to be less Manfrotto makes a much larger clamp just like this one that opens up to 2 inches. I have one of each. You never know when you will need them.
