Expensive, but worth it.

This tripod head is solid as a rock and does a great job holding a heavy camera and lens. Might be a little overkill for simple home use, but if you really want a solid tripod head which is also fantastic for shooting video - this is perfect.

Photo head won't tighten.

1-12-2014. Extremely frustrating because I have to use "Kentucky windage" to tighten down, and hope the subsequent swing downwards ends up where I wanted it to be.

Excellent Product

This is the best tripod head I have used. Considering the price, it is as precise as could be expected and is easy to adjust once you get the hang of it.

Very versatile head

Solid, versatile head, good controls, very good adjustments possible, a bit bulky and heavy to take it hiking to remote locations, though.

This is fantistic

By

This head stands out far above any of its competitors. Sturdy, extremely functional and usable for nearly any type of photo and video event. No other head (at any price) can match the capabilities of this professional quality tool.

Questions about this item:

John T  Will this work with my Manfrotto (Bogen) Carbon One 440 Tripod?
DOUGLAS V  sorry, i don't know
Stefano G  Is this head compatible with my tripod Vanguard Tracker LT-24? I would need it for smoother video panning.
ARTURO R  I'm not familiar with Vanguard, what I can tell you it has a threaded blind hole maybe 1/4 thread and has 3 pinholes to secure attachment. Also can tell you some of my videographer friends would like one too. It's excellent for photography and video on SLR. very smooth panning, plus you can secure a position to leave the scene static. Hope it helps
Shopper  How much does this weigh?
JASON K  I've not weighed mine, but according to Manfrotto's website it weights 1280g which is a little less than 3lb. That sounds about right to me.
