On-Off Light

from Saint Petersburg, Fl  -  Camaera Technology Nut

Amazing Bright light. Easy to hand hold off camera as probably the best use of it. Reflectors, bounce, and whatever, it lasts a reasonably long time on the batteries.

Nice tool for shooting in the dark.

from Claremont, NH  -  Tech Savvy

I really hate using the flash light in events at night time which seems to disturb most peopel attending. However, I found this light to be both helpful with shooting and somewhat less distracting for the spectators. It definitely helps with the pictures/videos, and fits better in my pocket than any of the shoe mount flash lights. Handy tool to keep in the bag.

I like it

from Reno, NV  -  Tech Savvy

I own a Panasonic GH2 with 14/140 lens, which isn't great in low light. I use the led for situations where a little extra light is needed. On auto white balance the colors and overall exposure come out just fine.

Excellent product

from Detroit, MI

I use the light on camera for taking videos and on monopod for hiking in the dark.

Good light, but can't get one fixed

from Washington, DC  -  Pro photographer

The lights are small and portable and last about 1.5 hours on a good set of 3 AAA batteries. I bought five and one did when they arrived. They were drop shipped from the vendor, I have still not been able to get a replacement, so beware that if they need repair you may be out of luck.

Good light for palm camcorders

from Boston  -  Aspiring Film Maker

Great video light for palm sized SD card cams for vacation travel. Use AA size batteries.

Really great, high quality, low cost!

from Connecticut  -  Aspiring Film Maker

I use this product with both my DSLR camera and my Sony Camcorder and it works really great. This is so much better than the infrared that comes with the camera and the brightness is amazing. You can pretty much light up an entire room with this light. The light comes with a little extender so that it can be further away from the camera shoe which is really useful. I've used it outdoors and indoors. Outdoors it is useful to have the subject you are taking a picture of look into the light so that their eye pupils become smaller and reveal more of their natural eye color. Overall, I've had some great experience with this.

Questions about this item:

Mel M  Can I use this in the P-7000 camera hot shoe? I do not expect it to work that way, but will it cause any problems with the camera's circuitry? Thanks, Dr. Mel Wilner
Andrew R  Though this unit includes a shoe mount, it receives no power from the hot shoe and should not have a negative impact on the camera's performance.
