I recently purchased a Canon 7D Mark ii bundle and this item was included. It doesn't? work for the Mark ii. It is only for the 7D. 

Don't be fooled

The jury is still out on this for me.  I bought one new battery pack and am trying to use and older battery with it.  I fear they don't work well together.  I ordered a, not another new battery pack, AC power supply to use with the new battery pack.  It is supposed to arrive today.  I am shooting deep macro stack shots and my camera battery dies before the series is finished.  I can't touch the camera to change batteries because it ruins the stack.

The only reason it has a star, because I have to choose one, or I would not be able to submit this review.This is a piece of garbage.A $60.00 piece of garbage.You install the batteries from the back.The whole back piece comes off, then you take out the AA battery carrier that comes with it.The little piece of plastic that holds it in place immediately broke off.So now, one of the camera batteries you install is floating loose.The batteries are installed side by side,instead of end to end.This makes the whole hand grip stick out way to far in front of the camera.Having a back door opening is terrible design.It doesn't close tight.water and dust can seep into the carrier. That flimsy back cover wouldn't last a week before it would break off.This thing, doesn't even rate a star.

I love using it. Makes shooting in vertical mode easier.
