Compact Size, But...

I wanted to use this with my new Canon HF R400 camcorder, but the soundfield the microphone picked up made it very difficult to make out where people were "placed" in the scene. It's hard to describe, but it seemed like the left-right mix was off, somehow. My older Sony ECM-MS908 sounds much better, though it is larger.
