I bought this a couple of weeks ago to assist in de-cluttering our small house. The Wave speaker replaced a Technics midisystem and pair if good quality floor mounted speakers. After a poor delivery service from UPS, I set up the Wave Speaker reasonably quickly but must admit, the sound is nothing like as good as my old hifi system. I am disapointed with the DAB and FM antennae and feel let down by Bose - surely you can either provide or recomend something better? On the positive, I achieved the desired declutter by removing multiple units and cables all over the place. The sound quality is acceptable and the overall sound output better suits are lounge. As well as accessing my music from my iPhone and CD collection I am, for the first time, listening to the radio (probably as I can use the speaker/iPhone controls).

I bought this system about 30 days ago and I am having an issue with it palying a CD into about the 3rd song, then Skipping or stopping. At first I thought maybe it was a Dirty CD, so I checked numerous CDs first and they all do it. Need help! I really really hate when I get a product and i have to package it up and mail it back- it is a total pain in the butt!

I replaced my 30 year old Wave Radio with this new version with DAB+ & a CD player and I'm very satisfied with it and at the price, if it also lasts 30 years I guess I can't complain. The sound quality isn't as good as I was hoping but it's still better than anything else on the market, and the price is rather high for what it is - but you do get what you pay for. However, the CD player doesn't show CD text and neither does the DAB radio which is a bit retro for a player sold in the 21st century. It's not a deal breaker and if a newer version was coming out soon, I'd have waited. However, with no talk of a version V and my need for a replacement, I went ahead and bought the version IV and I'm happy with it. I think if it was 40% cheaper I'd be over the moon with it, but at this price I'm just happy.

I purchased the Bose Wave music system, because I was going to downsize from the amplifier and two Bose speakers I already own. The unit was delivered on the 5th August. I unpacked it, looking forward to great sound. However, I confess to being extremely disappointed. I?m not suggesting that the system is no good- far from it. But, trying it head to head, against my Bose Direct reflecting V301?s, revealed some considerable shortfalls. I played the Fantasia on a theme of Thomas Tallis. I can leave the volume on my amplifier at around 38, and the direct reflecting speakers handled the music with aplomb. I had wonderful, room filling sound, with equally good emphasis on the really quiet pianissimo passages, middle and forte parts. When I tried the exact same piece on the Wave music system, the forte parts were so loud that I had to reduce the volume substantially. Then, when soft music came, I found it barely audible. Maybe comparing the Bose Wave system to a bigger separates set up is somewhat unfair. However, I found the small unit very upfront and unbalanced. Unfortunately ( as I explained to the polite representative, when I called to ask about returning the Wave system), Bose has a lot of work on their hands to produce a small, all in one unit, that could even begin to touch the sound delivered by my existing system. So for me, at any rate, the Bose Wave music system failed to touch the spot, and I have since returned the unit. I couldn?t have lived with it at all.

I?ve had my latest wave system IV for a month and am extremely delighted with it. I decided to upgrade my six year old wave III, which was great but thought the wave system IV with Pedestal would be a good upgrade, I certainly wasn?t disappointed. The sound quality is great and the latest features enhance the listening experience. My system III, has gone to my son and is being enjoyed by all his family, it still sounds great. The buying experience from Bose is excellent, tracking the progress of my equipment to my home, was good. My only complaint was that when registering the new equipment the Bose website didn?t recognise the pedestal serial number. I did go on the web chat facility and did eventually make some progress, but up to present the pedestal isn?t showing as registered on my equipment section of my page. I am interested in any comment Bose would like to make. However this is only a minor complaint in the over all purchasing experience and would highly recommend buying a Bose Wave system.

Treated myself to this Bose system as a gift to me albeit the family benefits. The sound quality is outstanding and so easy to set up and use. We have a mirrorball in out kitchen and like to dance as a family and hopefully with friends soon and this will really make a difference to our parties. Love the CD part as I have a huge collection and the DAB radio is excellent. We adjusted the bass to our taste (it is set too loud when it first arrives) but all in all, such great value.
