The Bresser 208mm f/3.9 Newtonian White Aluminum Tube Telescope has a newtonian design that is excellent for astrophotography. With fast optics and nice focal length, this scope produces great images of nebulae, galaxies and star clusters. The included coma corrector eliminates coma and also serves as a par focal adapter.
This telescope has an 8" aperture, a focal ratio of f/3.9 and a focal length of 812mm. It has a reflector-style optical design with 0.6 arc second resolution. Its Click-Fix secondary mirror mechanism is a collimation/alignment system that allows fine adjustments to be made quickly and easily. The HR coma corrector reduces halos around bright objects and allows users to easily split binary stars.
The optical tube assembly (OTA) does not include a mount or tripod and features a Vixen-style dovetail mounting plate and integrated 1/4"-20 piggyback camera mounting screw. Its mounting ring cradle enables the OTA orientation adjustment relative to mount and includes a carrying handle for ease and safety in set-up and break-down.
It features a dual-speed Crayford-style focuser with a 2" diameter drawtube with a coarse-focus knob and 10:1 fine-focus knob. The toothless friction system of this focuser allows for ultra-fine precision focusing without backlash. A1.25" adapter is included for use with smaller eyepieces and accessories.
