Great label maker

I was pleased by the small size and the number of features in the unit. The menus are easy to follow and it prints quickly and cuts automatically. For remote use their should be a battery option to use standard AAA batteries, but the rechargeable batteries do last quite a long time. Being able to update the unit via USB is a great addition to the label maker. And, of course, the Brother TZ range of labels is a plus also. Only downside is it can not use the 3.5mm labels (maybe later via a firmware update. Nice range of fonts and sizes and flexible label features. I would recommend this label maker to anyone

Ultimate Label Maker

The PT-18R is the ultimate in label making and convenience. While tethered via USB cord to a computer, any of your computer's fonts can be used via the enclosed Brother print software. The printer stays conveniently located - and charging - ready to be taken anywhere for labeling tasks. The label quality is superb. Love this printer!

Great investment

This label maker is everything and more of what I was looking for. I highly recommend this label maker, it does all jobs small and large. I love how easy it is to use with my computer.

Works great but-

This is a great printer but what I use it for I waste to much tape. I print out a date and time label for customers and stick it on the item so they will know when to return the next month. It waste about an inch of tape every time it prints before it prints the one I need. I have to order large quantities of replacement tape at which I use the flex tape because it is the easiest to use. This can get expensive. I just don't understand why it just can't start printing. The portability of this unit is great.

PT-18R Great product

This labeler can do everthing the larger labelers can do, yet is very small. If brother comes out with a similar model that can print on 24mm tape I'll buy it. Great battery life. Automatic cutter works perfect.

Great Product

Great Product. Rechargeable batteries let you know you will never need to replace a battery during the life of this unit. Unit connects directly to my PC and within 5 minutes I was printing labels effortlessly. Changing out the tape is a snap and the auto-cut feature means I no longer need to have scissors next to the label maker, just print and go. The added bonus of being able to take the unit mobile means that I can bring it with me and use it wherever needed. It has a full keyboard and when using two hands, the keys are easy to use and feel natural. Loads of different options available for the text, so many I doubt I will ever use them all, but its nice to know I can label something 500 different ways and it will always be unique. Great product and I highly recommend. PC Functionality is the reason I purchased it and it does not disappoint!
