This is a strong, secure strap that places the camera in easy reach. I like that it slings across your body, like a messenger bag. It goes from your side to your face in one smooth natural motion. When you need to change batteries, lenses, cards, etc., it frees up both your hands and holds it steadily and securely in position. It even has a zippered pocket over the chest to keep cards, batteres, etc. right at easy reach. If you're a strap-fan, but the neck strap just doesn't cut it, upgrade to this one and don't look back.

For me, the neck strap just doesn't cut it. I carry a messenger bag, so am used to having a cross-body strap on me. This R-Strap allows me to keep my cam right where my hand is, and I have have it up and at my eye in a flash when I see the perfect moment. This is much more comfortable for carrying the weight, and makes using the camera (getting it in place) feel much more natural. It may take some getting used to if this isn't how you're used to carrying your cam, but if it is, this is the strap you want. It even comes with a zippered pocket that I've found fits 8 CF cards easily.

This strap is great! Although I have been asked to take photos of random people because they thought I was a pro =) Supports the camera well and helps with positioning. The pockets are very small and really only useful for extra SD Cards. Worth every cent!

it's a great comfortable way to carry my camera and pull it up quickly for a shot.

Carrying a camera with a "regular" strap around my neck becomes tiresome after a while. With the Black Rapid design, the strap rides over one sholder and the camera itself rides on your hip (in my case). This is a much more comfortable way to carry your camera but still be able to get to it for a shot. The strap itself is obviously a quality product and all the components and materials are top notch and very durable. Both the eyelet that attaches to the camera tripod mount and the hook on the strap are stainless steel and have a nice, annodized look. If you are considering this strap, just go ahead and get it. You could spend more and still not get a better strap than this one. In looking at their other straps, I would be confident purchasing any of them as the construction looks to be identical. It is really just a function of the features you want in your strap.

This is a great "carry" strap. It attaches quickly and very securely with a locking metal carabiner. No cheap plastic to break with this strap. Adjustment is easy and the camera feels very comfortable and secure when attached. If you're looking for something to replace that cheap factory strap, you should seriously consider one of the fine straps from Black Rapid.

I really like this over the original strap. I like the extra pocket it's big enough for me to carry extra cards or an extra battery. I don't like that sometimes it gets twisted a bit but I'm getting used to grabbing it so it won't twist as much. Also, I don't like the anchor point. Seldom do I use a tripod so that's not a big deal but I have a battery grip, and it makes it a little tough to hold the camera in portrait orientation with the big hook in the way. It's still possible but I wonder if it could be better.

The RS-4 Version of the R-Strap is lightweight and low profile, with the sizing adjustment located on the front for quick adjustments. The RS-4 also features a quick access, secure pocket for storing two extra memory cards in their protective cases. Comes with all of the hardware you need to get going. This includes the ConnectR-2 and the FastenR-2.
