About B + W

This 007 Clear Filter is completely neutral: its only task is the protection of the front lens, with no change in imaging quality or speed of the lens.

The Multi Resistiant Coating reduces moisture, dust, and other dirt particles, as well as significantly increases the scratch resistance of its surface.

XS-Pro Extr a-Slim
Provides extra-slim mounting rings that eliminate problems associated with SLR wide-angle and telephoto imaging. This mount is especially suited for DSLRs with wide angle lenses. This mount will avoid vignetting with most 17mm lenses on a full frame body. Some report success with lenses as wide as 16mm. It has a front thread for additional accessories such as lens caps or hoods. All XS-Pro Digital mounts are made of brass and are matte black to prevent reflections. Only UV, Clear, and Käsemann Circular Polarizers are offered in this mount, with the latest MRC nano coating.

Always Shoot a test to confirm with your equipment.

Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) with Nano Technology
The nano coating is an outer layer of protection that comes standard with all XS-Pro Digital MRC filters. The nanotechnology based characteristic (lotus effect) produces a better beading effect with water making the cleaning of this filter even simpler and faster than ever before. MRC nano has an improved outer (8th) layer over regular MRC.

MRC by B+W is not only an extraordinarily effective multiple layer coating, it is also harder than glass, so that it protects filters from scratches (for instance when cleaning the filters), and it is also water and dirt repellent, thus facilitating filter maintenance.

good protection for Lumix FZ200

from somewhere in Oregon  -  Photo Enthusiast

I bought this to protect the lens on my Panasonic Lumix FZ200. The Lumix lens scratches fairly easily. Within a couple weeks of owning the camera, it already had a couple scratches, both of which probably happened while putting on the lens cap. I read a lot of reviews and decided to pay the extra money for a B+W. I can' compare it to any other products, but can say I am happy with the filter. I think the photos look just as good with the filter as without, which is as good a recommendation as you can make. It fits nicely on the lens, and the lens cap snaps into it easily.
