• When you need to balance the light in one part of a scene with another, the use of a graduated neutral density filter is essential.
• Graduated neutral density filters are gray toned in one half of the filter and are smoothly graduated into the clear portion.
• B&W Graduated Neutral Density filters are available in 2 grades; #501 Light (approx. 1 stop density) and #502 Dark (approx. 2 stops density).

I am currently experimenting with high contrast pictures which is why I made the purchase.
It blends the sky perfectly. I kind of expected maybe a faint line,to seperate the grad. effect, but, there was none. As soon as I got it out of the box, I put it on my lens. and headed outside to "test" it out. The sky just happen to be a bit bland that day. The results were perfect! I pretty much wanted it for the bland skies, but, I will be experimenting with it on other things too. I have no cons about this filter.
