For the best overall contrast I couldn't have done better than the B + W Kaesemann Circular Polarizer. It cost a bit more but the results are well worth money spent .

I wanted the best polarizer and found this one recommended by other and it hasn't disappointed. I do a lot of outdoor shooting and wanted more contrast in my photos, this filter does what I want and then some. Some found it difficult to install / remove over other filters I haven't had any issues with that as I place it over my UV filter.

I bought this used with a E+ rating and I'm very happy with it. I don't see any defects or marks and the filter is super clean. I would have thought it was new. I've only used it for a few photos and it does what it is supposed to do. It feel very solidly built and has a nice weight to it. So far very happy with this purchase!

The quality can't really be questioned, well maybe I'd like a little reflection reduction, but overall superb except it is so difficult to attach. I use it on a Leica D Vario-Elmarit and it's a real "squeaky, crunchy" fit after you get the threads to take up correctly. Not sure what the real problem is, I can't imagine the Leica threads are slightly off as other filters work fine.

Bought this filter for a once in a lifetime trip out west. Man am I glad that I did. The impact of the polarization effect was really impressive. I did find that if I stacked this filter with my B+W UV filter they tended to get stuck together so I started to remove the UV when I wanted to use this filter. Problem solved, never once had an issue getting it on or off the camera.

The original storage case was broken. Returned it and it was promptly replaced. The new case arrived broken the same as the original one.

Kaesemann filters are constructed from select polarizing foils and the finest optical class.
• They were designed for apochromatic and fast telephoto lenses, but all lenses benifit from their quality.
• Kaesemann polarizers are edge sealed and are ideal for extreme climate conditions.
• Polarizer filters evenly increase color saturation of all colors (except black and white), creating deep, rich scenics.
• They add contrast for dramatic skies and ariel shots.
• Polarizers also eliminate glare from highly reflected surfaces like glass and water.
• Polarizers are two part lenses that rotate, allowing you to select the degree of additional saturation, contrast and glare reduction desired.
•They come in two varieties.
• Circular-for all types of cameras (required for beam splitting metering systems commonly found in auto-focus SLR's and in most current TTL Slr's; check your camera's manual).
• Linear-for rangefinders and older SLR metering systems.
