LEO B : Hello, I like to purchase this NiMH battery charger and the batteries but read that it does not charge any other batteries than the Energizer batteries, which can be expensive over time. However, I also see that Duracell rechargeable batteries are recommended for this charger? Please advise Thank youROBERT A : I own 3 chargers. This one, the Duracell charger and an older Rayovac, all 15-minute chargers. This Energizer quit charging it's own batteries within a week of buying it so I bought the Duracell which was even worse. My 7 year old Rayovac 15-minute charger charges all brands of 15-minute rechargable batteries. This Energizer turned out to be the worst of the all. I would NOT recommend this unit to anyone except my enemies, because I'm that kind of guy. :)MAYSON K : Hi Leo, I have not tried charging other rechargeable bat. other than Energizers. But I think you could possibly charge other brands as Duracell. I purchased 2000 mah bat. because the ones in the kit are only 1400 mah. Hopes this helps, MaysonSTEPHEN C : I've charged Energizer, Panasonic, Sanyo, and some 'no name' NiMH batteries in this and an earlier version that I also have. I've had no problems with any of them!

Best AA batteries and charger

I use AA batteries in cameras, flashlights, and radios and I was spending a lot on alkaline batteries. When I read "15 minute charger" I thought that this would be the right thing for me! I have been very happy with this charger and batteries since they arrived at my door.

Does not charge any NIMH Battery

Claims to charge any NIMH, but does not. My AA batteries fall within the guidelines, but it does not charge them. I would not recommend this charger unless you plan on spending a lot of money buying new Energizer batteries. No other brand works though they claim it does.
