I've stopped using my other chargers altogether now. The soft-charge feature is great for not overheating the batteries and the individual charging is just great for better performance. My only issue is with the power cable connecting to the charger being of a non-standard type - at least non that I know of. If that thing breaks (it has pins, it might break easily), it would be hard to replace.

I picked this up to add more capacity to my charing of speedlite batteries. I have an EBL 12-cell charger and a La Crosse 4-cell smart charger. The EBL is brute force quick charge, while the La Crosse has Smart low-current and Refresh cycles. The Maha is better than both given it has more flexibility than the EBL, and it’s larger and maybe a wee-bit more useful than the La Crosse. Refresh on the La Crosse can take days, while a similar run took only a few hours on the Maha

My other chargers charge batteries in pairs, so if one is partially full and the other empty they both stop when the first is full. this charger not only charges individual, but you can condition the batteries for longer life.

These overpriced rechargeable batteries and the system work well together. I have never had an issue with either. I do wish the digital display was easier to read. The battery charging indicators are clear, but the words on the screen are microscopic and hence illegible. I would NOT buy these unless they were on a very good sale, but they seem to be of good quality and have lasted me a while.

I am a long-tIme hobbies, turned semi-prophotographer and have two Canon 600EX-RT Speedlites and use Eneloops batteries. This charger works perfectly for me and I like that I can do slow charge of fast charge and also can charge anywhere from one to eight batteries at a time! My two Speedlites use 8 batteries total, so being able to charge the whole set after a long shoot is great! Very intuitive to use, with easy to read and understand graphic display!

At twice the price, a bargain! Will be purchasing another one soon. Does what it claims, reconditioned my old batteries (over seven years old), and rapid charged my new ones. In hind sight, I should have bought two. This item will pay for itself by extending the life of my battery investment.

I should have bought this years ago. I've always used a rapid charger and didn't think about the impact on battery life. This is the best of both worlds - slow charge or recondition when there is time and rapid charge when you need it ASAP. Highly recommend!

I like the ability to charge 8 batteries, independently, at a time. Various charging levels are helpful as well. If you use, or think you'll use, a lot of AA or AAA rechargeables, this is a great unit.

I have looked at various chargers with as many as 12 stations Decided on Maha because of its 1 hour capablity. Doing 18 in two hours is faster than doing 12 in 3 or more hours with other chargers.
