Works pretty well
I purchased this solar charger on the strength of reviews which said this charged peoples phones. However it did not seem to be able to charge my blackberry. When I connected it, a message came up on my screen saying that "this charger can not charge your blackberry". At first I gave up, but then saw a review [@]that recommended shorting the green and white wires (the data wires) in a USB cable and then using that cable to charge. Basically you strip the covering off a standard USB cable that connects your phone to a computer, cut the green and white wires, and join them together, tape it back up. This cable can now be used to charge your iphone or blackberry. The reason it wont work with blackberrys or iphones out of the box is that they are seeking information (from the charging device) through the data wires and this charger doesn't supply any information. Shorting the wires tricks your phone into thinking it is a compatible charger.It also appears to charge my kindle so this would be quite useful for someone who wanted to use their kindle in a place with no electricity power (like the beach!)One cautionary note- this is a lot smaller than I expected it to be- it is 5" by 3" by 1" thick which is fairly small.

i love it work good
if you are looking for emergency solar power backup forward your USB devices this is something that I would truly recommend I did my review on youtube I can say if I had to purchase this again I would definitely go for it without no hesitation

It does what it was made to do
The solar charger is great for a boost of energy for your devices, including gps systems (like a garmin) and phones. It charges devices rather quickly also. My only 2 compaints is that it seems to never fully charge, neither using the usb cord or by solar power, and that the 2nd panel is a little flimsy and has no spring mechanism (it uses a magnet to close). It does work in many kinds of light and in dim conditions. The little lcd light is powerful also...
