Not what i expected.

Not what i expected! To me, an 18" cable means that the cable length will be 18" not counting the connectors. As it is, two of them just barely reached, and the ends of the cables near the connectors are stretched quite a bit. Unfortunately, i needed them for a show, and i didn't have time to return them for longer ones.

Great buy

We've only tested them so far but from the tests we believe these will give us the quality we're looking for. A great buy for the money.

Improved Sound

I replaced cables that did not stay connected to my mixing board, producing static or loss of connection. The new cables snap securely into the socket and the sound quality is much better than before.

Outperforms audiophle cables

My replacement preamp (Gemini PA-1000) is about 20db down from the output of my DH110 on the unbalanced RCA outputs. It produced the same slight hiss that the DH110 had always produced with my Van Alstine DH200B. I had always assumed this to be normal for the 100 watt RMS/channel amp. Even with the slight hiss, the amp/preamp combo was precise enough that other people bought Van Alstine equipment after listening to mine. Over the years, the Hafler preamp deteriorated. Modifications I had done to the outputs (gold RCA jacks) made the boards unusable for conversion to VanAlstine circuits when the DH110 preamp finally failed. Due to monetary constraints, I replaced it with the Gemini. I replaced the amps input jacks with XLR Female panel-Mount Connectors from Cables To Go, and used the balanced outputs from the Gemini with the 6-foot Pro-Audio XLR cables. The balanced outputs are about 14db up from the unbalanced, but that's not as important as the cables! Clinical precision! NO hiss at any volume level. The signal to noise ratio must be nearly infinite. I've had this amp since 1985 and now it's impressing my grand children; and I'm having a blast going back through my music collection.

Not an inch to spare

When they say 18 inches, they mean exactly that -- end to end. Not an inch to spare, so check your needs carefully before you buy. Quality is OK but these are very expensive cables for this level of construction.

1.5ft Pro-Audio Cable XLR M to XLR F

These cables are built well and look great. They are the perfect length for short runs inside a road case. I will buy more if needed.

Clean Sound, Black background

I plugged these cables in replacing the unbalanced connections from my Music Hall DAC to my integrated amp, and immediately heard a difference. Since this is my first use of balanced cables I might be just telling everybody what they already know here. These cables do an amazing job of transferring that warm sound straight from the tube-output DAC without any harshness, and completely eliminated any background hiss I heard using the RCA cables I had before.

Easy Order, Quick Shipment, Good Product

We upgraded the speakers in our fair barns and decided to also invest in better speaker wires. It was a good choice.

About C2G Cables to Go 1.5' Pro-Audio XLR Male to XLR Female Cable

Use this Cables to Go 1.5' Pro-Audio XLR Male to XLR Female Cable to connect unbalanced sources to balanced XLR inputs. This pro-audio cable is made from 22 AWG twisted pair audio cable under an aluminum foil shield and 60% copper braid for maximum shielding from noise. The highly flexible 7mm PVC jacket reduces the risk of the cable kinking and damaging the conductors.

Bright nickel plating on solid brass connectors resists wear from reconfiguring and moving equipment from one venue to another. Spring strain relief on the 1/4in plug and a chuck strain relief inside the XLR reduce the effects of age on the solder joints and contacts.
