I was looking for a general walk around lens and this fits the bill. I use this lens on a crop DSLR. It has been great for street photography and portrait work. I have only had the lens for 3 weeks and haven't put it through all of it's paces yet, but am very pleased with the results. Good colors, great focus. Only complaint, if you will, is that lens is stiff to put on camera.

I purchased this lenses for use on my Canon 30D because I felt that the kit lenses (17-55) did not give me the sharpness I was looking for. My first shoot with this lenses produced very sharp portaits. As a matter of fact they were too Sharp! I used guassian blur and the eraser tool to soften the images. You can't go wrong with this lenses

I bought this lens from the used dept. it was supposed to be condition V, but the only thing that it shows as to not being new is an aftermarket lens cap, otherwise it is like new.
