This is the standard in which to measure all other pro lenses. It is everything that you could want in an IS 70-200 lens.

This is a good overall lens. I really like the I.S. especially at weddings in churches with low light. It focuses really fast which is great. and I like the zoom range. Its great for portraits. I just wish it wasn't so heave. its not fun to carry around.

If you're looking at the Canon 70-200mm IS USM lens, you already know this is no "kit" lens and it's high quality optics. You are looking at the refurbished to save some bucks. This lens came in a "normal" cardboard box. I found everything there that comes with the "new" lens's. I didn't see one thing about it that looked refurbished or used. Adorama is a "Real" store and no bait and switch unbelievable deals. This IS a real deal, good value from a real , Honest, Company.

I had a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM Lens and traded it out for this lens for use in low light situations. I've been very happy so far! I've used it for about 2 months now and would recommend it to anyone using a zoom lens in low light situations. If you need the longer reach...then go with the 100-400 or a fixed lens. Great product!

this is the second lens that i got from adorama listed as refurbished and i'm glad i got them and i saved a lot of money for a lens that is just as good if not better then new, because they have given it a check over from canon.

I'm not here to comment on the lens... if you're reading this you already know this is one of the best. I just wanted to say that I bought a "refurbished by Canon" unit from Adorama and it's mint. Sure I didn't get the Canon carton with this lens but I got everything else for a lot less. My advice, don't hesitate to snap one of these up. Happy shooting!

This refirbished lens is not distinguishable from a brand new one as far as I am concerned.

Best used outdoors where you will get shutter speeds of at least 1/60. Indoors it still performs but even at f/2.8 the ISO needs to be increased to the high end. But with moderate light and the IS activated you will end up with more keepers than you know what to do with.

Incorporating Canon's second generation Image Stabilization technology, this telephoto zoom responds in as little at 0.5 seconds, while providing up to three stops of correction for camera shake. Its AF system has been refined for better response time and tracking speed. And even the new 8-blade circular aperture offers a more pleasing out-of-focus image. Constructed to pro standards, this fast zoom is also highly resistant to dust and moisture, too.
