How to keep this Canon eyecup attached to the camera body...all you have to do is attach a small piece (1/2") of Gaffer's tape to the top of the eyecup and tape it to the body. That stops the eyecup from coming/falling off the body.

I somehow lost my eyecup and ordered this for a replacement for my 1D MII. Fit just fine. Also bought another just in case I lose it again, or I lose one on my 1Ds.

On the second day after receiving the camera the eyecup came off ,fortunately it was discovered on the passenger car seat.I'm looking now to stock up with 3 or 4. A better design hopefully for the newer models of EOS. I just love the camera,once one shoots the 1d's you don't want to shoot anything else.

Works just as good as original...I'd recommend taping it on.

This was a perfect replacement for the old torn eyecup on my Canon EOS-1n. I would definitely buy this again!

The original design isn't great. I lost mine just leaning the camera against my side. I assume the same would happen with this one, but it's a replacement and I wanted the eyecup. At least it's not an expensive part.

I carry two and sometimes three cameras on me at all times. The eyecup is forever getting snagged on clothing etc and pulling off. Hence, I have lost 4 eye cups this year so far and that doesn't count the times someone handed it to me saying "you dropped this". Poor design.
