great hood

if your look for the perfect hood for you 75-300 lens look no further this is the perfect size for shading your lens. I bought it for the canon EF 75-300mm III usm lens and it fits it and all of my other lenses that are 58MM size

Why doesn't this come with the lens?

What's not to work? You mount it on the lens and shoot! But, Canon really should include hoods with their lenses. Pretty much every other brand that builds lenses for Canons does. Canon lenses aren't cheap by any comparison, and a lens hood is, in my opinion, essential for light control and protection of the front element. And, very few [...] that sell the lenses also stock the hoods, so you have to order and wait.

Lens hood a must

By

Lens hoods are a must especially when shooting in the direction of the sun to eliminate reflection. Not all camera shots are made with the sun at your back. Great for sunset shots.

Definately worth the money

By

Some aftermarket parts works. Others do not. Lens hoods are the one item I buy factory made. When I wanted to purchase hoods for all my lenses, I bought one aftermarket hood to see how it would perform. I mean, a hood is a hood, right? Uh no. The aftermarket hood I purchased came in this weird two-piece design, the front edge of the hood appeared in some of the photographs, it was designed to be screwed on to the lens/filter threads instead of the hood threads which Canon designs into their lenses, and it couldn't be reversed for proper storage on the lens. Stick with Canon hoods. They are more expensive but worth the money. This is one thing you don't want to cheap-out on.

i used this lens hood the first day i recieved it, because i needed one for my new lens and glad i did, i was walking through thick brush so the hood did its job, didnt crack or break or come off the lens. protected my lens very well.

quality product

I bought a few cheap Screw on hoods prior to this and was extremely disappointed in their quality. In this case it pays to go with the name brand.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
BRYAN B  I chose this hood because of its affordable price.
Linda L  I am having trouble attaching the CanonET-60 lens hood to the 55-250 canon lens. Any advise? Thanks, Linda
DIANNE F  Sorry can't answer that. I have only have Nikon camera's. I would check with the seller on that. Seems like it's not made for that lens.
Mandy G  Does it actually say "ADORAMA" on it?
ANTHONY Z  Mine did not. This is a Canon product not an Adorama after market clone. I cannot speak for all other lens hoods out there but I would bet they would not have "Adorama" tattooed on them unless they were marketed as an "Adorama lens hood that fits Canon...." But what difference would it make? A black magic marker would take care of that it you thought the glare would get in your way.
