Works GREAT!!!

I bought the tubes, to photograph some fine artwork and jewelry, along with other small objects. It works wonderfully. I like that you can use it with the EF-S lenses as well as the EF lenses, the AF works well, but I prefer to use the manual focus.

None working extension

I purcahsed both EF25II and EF12II and hoped it will work with my canon 20D. But, I tried with my 85mm, f1.8, 17-40 f4L, 24-70, f2.8L, none of the lens works. It can't focus on either lens. I tried to set on MF and AF. NOT WORKING.

So Cool!

By

from Erving, MA  -  Photo Enthusiast

I have worked with extension tubes that do not talk to my camera and it has been so much nicer to have one that does! Granted to autofocus still gets a bit fussy, but overall I am extremely happy with it and exploring a world with a super shallow DoF!

Get even closer

By

from Hercules, CA  -  Photo Enthusiast

This extension enables my Canon 100mm f/4 IS macro lens to focus closer. It retains the Canon quality and fits on my 5D Mark III perfectly.

Moderate Extension Tube

By

from Pikeville, KY  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I bought this extension tube to be used with my Canon 100 mm macro lens, because there are times when I want to go past 1:1 ratio. This moderate extension performs as expected, with perfect match to my Canon equipment, preserving the necessary electronic functions. If Canon made a 50 mm extension tube, I would buy it! I am considering buying the special MP60 lens, the only one I know that works in the 1:1 to 5:1 magnification ratio for macrophotography.

By

Using the EF25II on my macro lens allows me to get closer to my subject and now I can use it on all my lenses including the EFS lenses.

Not good for medium lenses (50 - 100mm)

By

from Saint Louis, MO  -  Photo Enthusiast

I bought this to use with my 50mm 1.2L and 24- 105mm f/4L and no matter how carefully I focus it; focuses a max of half inch size of the subject that too at about 1 inch distance from it no matter what your f-stop is. By the way auto focus is out of question. And other weird part is from 50mm - 105mm you have 2 inches of space to move from the object in order to be able to focus. So unless you are using a tripod and your subject is stable, there is a good chance you might end up focusing different part than what you want. Not sure but I guess it might work better on telephoto lenses.

Love this gadget

By

from Lancaster PA  -  Semi-pro Photographer

I wanted an extension tube to use for insect photography and this was the first one I bought. I wish I had purchased the 12 II first. this is a little difficult to use, at first, with my wide angle lens. Still, I really like it and it's added a whole 'nother dimension to my photography. Lots of fun.

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Has anyone used this item with An Ef 24-105 can you get 1to 1 results?
LYNN C  I haven't got a EF24-105 lens but have used it on my EF100-400, EF180 & Tamron SP AF 60 lens. I didn't purchase it to use on my EF100-400 because I have the macro lenses but tried it anyway. It turned my EF100-400 into a 1 to 1 & the macros (already 1 to 1) into super macros. Since your EF24-105 is listed on the compatibility list it should do the same. So if you don't have a macro this is a great inexpensive way to turn your lens into a macro lens.
Tammy D  Does this fit the rebel 4Ti?
margaret p  Yes, it does. You will love it!
Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
MICHAEL R  Wanted to utilize my telephoto lens for macro. Works very well.
