Shopper : Will this fit a EFS 55-250mm lens?JAMES O : Lense hoods are designed specifically for the configuration of the internal glass, the EFS is not a full frame and thus perhaps it would mechanically fit, i would be extremely apprehensive to use it. You could encounter some abnormal light refractions. Jim O.CHRIS G : Yes....it is a 58mm fitting same as the EFS 55-250mm 4-5.6...but the recommended hood for that lens is the ET-60 IIDAVID B : I do not know; that seems like a better question for Canon to answer. I can tell you that I own and use mine for the Canon 24mm f/2.8 which is what it is designed for. I do not own a crop-sensor camera, nor the 55-250mm lens of which you speak (Canon EFS lens are designed for crop-sensor cameras). My guess is that even if it did fit on the lens; the pedals on the hood (designed for a 24mm lens) would not be enough to block-out stray side-light; even when used at the 55mm setting. Sorry, but Canon CS should be able to answer this one better. -David
