I had been to a local horse show and stuck the lens cap into a shallow pocket while I shot some photos. Lots going at the show, sun, dust, horses, etc. When I got home to review my photos I noticed I did not put the lens cap onto the lens. I never do that. So - I went to get the cap, and it was nowhere to be found. I searched everywhere, nothing. Now what am I going to do. You need a lens cap especially when you're in the desert. I even searched the slacks I had on that day, and no lens cap. So - I ordered a brand new CANON lens cap. I heard that the other ones weren't good enough and they don't stay on. So, I'm waiting for it to come in the mail and I was in the closet looking for something and low and behold, peeking out of that shallow pocket was my old lens cap. Oh well - now I'll have a backup in case this happens again. And it could.
