I liked the controller but when it updated it stopped working. I tried to reset it but it didn't work.

This device is a game changer! I love to use it for hang outs with my friends or parties, or any situation where people may want to post things relatively quickly. I can capture a photo, send it to my phone, edit it quickly, and have it ready to post within 3 minutes! It does take a while to turn on and get a stable wifi signal going (sometimes up to 2 minutes), so I'd recommend starting it up prior to when you need to use it. The battery life is AWESOME though, so keeping it on all day isn't a problem at all. Transfer speeds are pretty good as well. For a 13MB RAW img, it takes about 6-7 seconds to transfer, which I am okay with. I haven't yet figured out why my images show up in reverse order sometimes, so I'm still looking into that and it can be quite annoying to have to scroll ALL the way down to the end when you have 800+ images on your card from a gig, just to get your most recent photo. That can be quite a hassle. Also, I would recommend getting the bracket for it if you want to use your hotshoe adapter for a Speedlite or anything else. Overall it's a great little device that's I'd recommend getting I'd you can deal with the little quirks here and there.

I use a Canon 7D and the CamFi works perfectly with this camera. Very good product and has worked very well so far.

The app seemed to go in and out as far as connecting to my dslrs. Not a bad product but a few improvements could be made.

Wow it really minics the camera controls and shares it with my notepad. I can hands off snapp pics and change settings. I plan to connect my Nikon D5200 up to a telescope and view celestrial objects while indide tge warm house! This wifi is a big step in that direction.

I was eager to receive the Camfi but now that I have it I can't get it to work. The software won't recognize the camera on iPad and Android. I will keep trying and hope I don't need to return it. Camfi tech support is in China with a 24 hr time difference. I wish support was in the U.S.

Might be the camera I'm using it with, a Nikon D7200. It "works", but I experienced disconnects and 5 to 7 second image download times of jpegs. This is when I was 5 to 20 feet of the CamFi. I turned off the wifi in the my house, set the camera to take raw + basic jpg (instead of raw + fine), still the same issues. The free Nikon app usually downloads the image in about 1 - 2 seconds, but doesn't provide exposure control so I'm still looking for a solution. I returned the unit, I never used it on location.

I've been looing for a remote option other than camranger for awhile. This device has been a great addition to my Canon setup. Highly recommended!

I like this wifi device for the simple reason that it really works. The only complaint I have is the setup instructions are not very clear.

I am really enjoying the Cam-Fi. It works perfectly with my D3300, timelapse, HDR, focus stacking etc. Most importantly I can shoot video in live view--set up my shots and record--oftentimes I am shooting content alone and this makes it much easier to properly frame a shot--especially if I am by myself and am in the shot. Just used the time lapse feature with my wide angle lens at our local park and the results were excellent.

Works well for the price. A little noisy at times but did an excellent job for the price point. I would buy this again

The CamFi 102 Remote is not worth looking at. Had it for three days and have returned the unit. Would only transmit if within 10 feet thou spec stated 25+. Also camera cord supplied will not work on Nikon D7100 thou write up indicated it was compatible. New Image did not always appear on computer screen thou it was captured to disk ok May look into the 101 at some later point.

I'm a professional photographer and do a lot of real estate photos. I use a Canon 5D Mark III and multiple flash and pocket wizards to fire them of. Since it's a pain to walk back and forth to the camera when doing a shoot I looked into getting this. I purchased an eyefi card which is ok but it doesn't allow me to use external flash and I'm also not able to change the camera settings with that, so my next choice was to get the CamRanger but it's going for $300+ and I couldn't afford it. So I found CamFi instead. Works exactly the same, no difference at all between the two (from what I read and my experience with CamFi). I also did a family photoshoot using this, people were amazed because I was looking on my phone while we were 20ft away and I was able to focus the shots, change the camera settings and even review each image after taking the shot, so it was really easy. People on the beach who were watching were definitely impressed. I do want to say in the beginning I was a little frustrated because I didn't understand how to use the app very well. When you take photos in 'live' mode it will not fire the flash, I was upset because the whole purpose was to use the camfi with flash, but I found that if you turn off live mode and fire the shots, the flashes will go off and you can review the images. My only wish for this product would be if it automatically showed you a preview AFTER you took the shot. Instead you have to hit the 'autoreview' button on the app and then you can preview all the images you took. So not that big of a deal but it would be a little more convenient if that was added. Otherwise, I really like this product, very compact and very effective. Definitely recommend it.

Worked great. Didn't need to waste 100s more on an OE attach. Highly recommend.

Wireless remote capture and live show
Use tablet instead of the small viewfinder. Camfi can use Android and iOS devices to be your viewfinder. It can stream live view from the camera to your devices wirelessly.
Saves you from awkward pose
Using mobile devices as viewfinder, you can easily shoot the exciting view without having to use those very awkward poses.
Self Portrait
Instead of requesting others help you to take pictures, you can connect the CamFi device to your camera, and use your mobile viewfinder to find the memorable moment, then capture it by yourself.
Powerful time-lapse
Most DSLR cameras only provide the countdown shooting. CamFi provides a more advanced timer feature which gives you flexibility to set shooting time interval and photo count.
Show photos as they are taken
You can use an LCD TV to show your photos as they are taken. You can check the details of your work instantly. This will also give your client better experience in photo shooting.
Android TV stick supported
CamFi application can be installed on a small Android TV stick or Android TV box. Now you can use TV set to be your viewfinder and photo player.
Transmitting raw files faster with SmartView
Raw files are always large. It can take tens of seconds to transfer a raw file via WiFi. With the SmartView feature, it only takes 5 seconds to view a raw file.
Print the photos as they are taken
With the windows client software of CamFi, you can print the photos instantly after they are captured.
Share & Download
