I use this camera to film weddings, concerts, churchevents and other events. It shoots well in every condition I've needed it to so far. I love this camera!

As a former TV News photographer, I'm use to using cameras in the league of the Sony Betacam. Although the Canon XL H1 is not a Betacam, it has many of the same features that I find useful. I love having most of the camera controls externally available so adjusting the audio and video is quick. Also, being able to change out the lens is great! Although the color viewfinder leaves alot to be desired (I bought a used higher resolution black and white viewfinder)and it's really front heavy (I added a AB battery mount and use Hytron batteries on the back to help balance the camera out) the camera is great. This is the older model before Canon upgraded the XL H1 series, but it is still a great camera for my work.
