The places where the camera strap loops through are slotted to make it easy to insert the camera strap, but it also makes it easy for thin camera straps to disengage on their own. The lack of a snug fit also makes it slip around too much. It holds the lens cap okay but since you remove the cap from the camera and then reattach it to this device, there is the transition period when you can drop and lose your lens cap. I eventually went back to a simpler, cheaper lens cap tether.

The CapBuckle Lens Cap Holder (Holds 40.5/49/62mm Lens Caps) provides you with a secure and out-of-the-way system to hold your lens cap. The design copies the front of your lens and is sized to hold the cap. The Cap Buckle threads to your shoulder strap eliminating the need for any dangling cap holder that might swing in front of your lens. Just squeeze the locking mechanism on your lens cap and put it in the Cap Buckle where it remains locked on the camera's strap. CapBuckle holds three sizes of lens caps on opposing sides of the holder. Multiple Cap Buckles can be attached to your camera strap to accommodate various size lens caps. This is a lightweight, durable way to make sure your lens cap is safe and readily accessible.
