Needed! Buy it with the bracket.
Custom Brackets should really consider including this item with their bracket systems instead of consumers having to buy it separately. I ended up buying a few of these after trying to use my CB folding brackets without them. Don't think or assume you won't need this item with your CB folding bracket because you will, your body will without a doubt twist on the bracket. Add one of these and say good-bye to your twisting problem. If you purchase a CB folding bracket, do yourself a favor and purchase this at the same time, if you don't... you will be soon!

Not necessary but adds security
Attaches to the Custom Flash Bracket to give the camera base a "stop" so it can't spin. It works well but if you can drill a couple of holes in a piece of sturdy metal you could make it easy. The flash bracket is pre-drilled and tapped. Would be 5 stars if it didn't cost so much for such a simple part.
