Russell W : Can a Manfrotto RC2 QR plate be mounted to the bottom of the bracket while attached to the camera?Michael J : I believe so it fits both my Canon EOS-M and Canon 5D Mklll perfectly.VICTOR K : I apologize for not responding to this sooner. You have probably already made you decision to purchase this item or not. The quick release plate will fit on the bottom of the bracket. I have not used the bracket while attached to a tripod but I don't see any reason why it work.ALONSO B : If you mean by bottom, which is the threaded 1/4"x20 hole on the side of the bracket next to the camera base, then yeah you can mount a QR plate there and put on a tripod. You can also mount a quick release assembly on the camera base, as long as it has a 1/4"x20 threaded hole.AQDAS K : No. I don't know your plate number. Mine don't have screw hole on the bottom
Shopper : Will It work with a D300?Donald S : It should work fine on any full size DSLR. Worls on my Olympus E-5.VICTOR K : I use a Canon 40d. I don't know if it works on your Nikon. RYAN R : I use this bracket on a canon xsi and will use it on the 60d that I'm purchasing next month. I believe the 300d is similar in sized to the 60d so I'm going to say yes it will work. I have had zero issues with the bracket and highly recommend it.

It is a very sturdy replacement for the hot shoe and allows for vertical and horizontal use.JEREMIAH S : No it does not. Flash bracket sturdy but cumbersome.

This is a nice, sturdy flash bracket. I like that it keeps the flash centered yet gets it more above the camera. It was a little cumbersome to change direction from portrait to landscape which I did not like. Maybe as I use it more, it will become easier.

Nice bit of kit

The bracket seems sturdy and well made. It is lightweight, folds away nicely to fit in my camera bag neatly and works as described. Overall a useful bit of kit which will improve my flash photography. The delivery of my order was no less than astonishing I had forgotten just how good Adorama is at customer service. Well done blokes, cheers from the Antipodes.

Well Built Flash Bracket

I have been thinking about getting a flash bracket for taking pictures of my grand kids and occasional portraits of family members for a long time. This is my first experience with a bracket and I am happy with the results. My Canon 40d and 580EXII flash are a little cumbersome when using the bracket in the vertical position. I usually hold my camera with the shutter button on top for vertical portraits, but I have to orient the camera with the shutter button on the bottom when using the bracket. I found myself struggling to figure out how to hold the camera/bracket and find the zoom ring on the lens. Just something I will have to practice and get used to. Using the bracket to orient the flash improved my outdoor fill-flash portraits.
