Ernest W : is this bracket compatible with the nikon sb900?ANDREW R : The bracket itself is essentially universal and will work with a wide variety of accessories. For specific device compatibility you would also need the make/model specific flash cable suitable for your equipment. Cables are available from a variety of vendors and are not included with this bracket.

I use it for my Canon 600 ex-rt flash or cold shoe mount if you're using the Nikon wireless function.RANDY B : I believe it is universal--I don't know for sure. It works with my Canon EOS40D.DAVID N : Yes, but... It depends on how you are using your flash. The bracket comes with a mounting screw that would hold your SB900 to the crossbar - however, you would need some means to trigger your flash unit (i.e. SC-24 or SC-29). The hotshoe on the cable would mount to the bracket (as seen in the images) and the flash would mount to the hotshoe. From there, any Nikon (or compatible) flash will work...as will the TTL function.

Very Well Made

Bracket is well made and will last a long time. Only thing I would change in future builds is the ability to change from L to R as far as mounting. Highly recommend if you want to get your flash off the top of your camera for great lighting shots

Great example of engineering

A wedding photographer's easy solution to flash photography... Easy flip from horizontal to vertical flash position and very solid construction. Much better than I had ever dreamed of receiving and it works for me.

Not for me.

Could not use this product for myself. When I rotated my camera to vertical, everything started moving and I felt that my flash was going down hard. The grip is on the right side and I couldn't figure out how to hold it and manipulate my camera. It was not interchangeable to the left side for gripping. My camera equipment was too sophisticated and too heavy for this smaller bracket. It probably works great for someone. It was well-made and easy to assemble.

Custom Brackets/ CB Junior Kit

I bought the bracket to prevent the shadows one sees in photos when using a flash or strobe lighting. The design of the system is very good, light weight, cork pads on the mounting base, "Anti-twist" mounting bar that keeps the bracket "square" to the camera/flash and foam hand grip ALL supports the camera system well when using a flash. The extention leg that can be "flipped out" to prevent your camera system from tipping over, when you place it on a table. I wished the base was removalable or "flipable on a hinge" to lay flat for storage in your bag. One can pack the bracket in your bag, but one needs to be creative. I would still HIGHLY recommend this product to fellow photographers!!

Lightweight and Sturdy Bracket

High quality construction and lightweight. Very well built bracket. I like it that the arm is clicks into place when swiveled.

I like it very much, I wonder the manufacture should consider re-design the handle so it can be relocated left or right for left/right hand people easy to use

The Custom Brackets CB Junior Flash Rotating Bracket Kit is designed to be fast, compact and lightweight, and is compatible with Digital, 35mm and Medium Format cameras. The adjustable Pivoting Flash Arm keeps the Flash centered above the Lens for both Horizontal & Vertical.
