pain...

this system is a pain if you want to use a tripod plate. if you want to remove the camera quickly, or adjust it, you have alot of work ahead of you.

One of Those Things You Have to Have

I bought a used Custom Brackets unit which was missing this part. Had to call the manufacturer in Cleveland to find out the part number, then was able to order it from Adorama. It arrived in 2 days (std shipping)--just in time for me to use it on a job. Works well, but is a bit awkward to attach/detach to the camera, as well as to the Custom Brackets unit itself. But, you have to have it, so you get used to its minor drawbacks. It is certainly well built and of professional caliber.

We highly recommend the CMP over any C35 version camera plate

Please be advised, if you are buying this camera plate for use with a camera with a vertical grip on a QRS-35-EV or QRS-35-H, your bracket may not stand correctly. You will not need to worry about this if you have a PRO Series bracket or a QRS-E2 or QRS-H2
