Questions & Answers

RAY R : The photo illustration shows a camera with the shutter button and the flash brackets grip both on the left side of the image (right hand of photographer). How does one hold this bracket and work the shutter button with both the grip and button on the same side in horizontal mode? I know it must work, so what am I not seeing?WILLIAM D : Your left hand will be on the bracket handle (instead of the camera) and your right hand will hold the camera, just like you would without the bracket attached. Your right hand index finger works the camera's shutter button. and you can rotate the camera 90 degrees left in the bracket with your right hand. This is a very well built bracket - very smooth operation. If there's a nicer one for sale, I haven't seen it. The legs that fold out from the bottom of the bracket are also nice, so you can set the camera and bracket on a flat surface with stability without the camera or lens (depending on how long the lens is) not touching the surface.PAUL K : This bracket is oriented differently from mine. I hold the bracket with my left hand and depress the shutter with my right, whether in horizontal or vertical mode. (In vertical, the shutter release is on top of the camera). This bracket would work the same way vertically, because the shutter button would shift to the top left side of the photographer, but I'm not sure of the best method for shooting horizontally with a right handed bracket. Maybe you need a battery pack, which would add a shutter release on the other side?
jose p : I have a disability. Once right-handed, I now use my left-hand to grip the handle and use my right hand to move my digital camera either in vertical or horizontal formats. Can this unit work for me?ANDREW R : Unfortunately no, I don't believe so. This unit is designed for a right handed grip.
