This is a very solid bracket. The swivel part to take your camera from horizontal to vertical is smooth transitioning. It has 4 legs that you can spread out to enable it to stand up when not being held or on a tripod. I was a little bit confused on what accessories were needed but customer service helped me with that.

Bought a D-4 and needed a flash bracket that would fit since the bracket for my D-300 was to small. This works perfectly.

I've used several brackets over the years. This bracket is far and away the best. Conventional wisdom says do not scrimp on a tripod. That is very true. You will end up paying more by purchasing cheaper ones first. The same is true of flash brackets. No other bracket even comes close. This piece of gear is solid quality, with every detail well thought out. Yes, it costs more. It is worth it though. If you suspect you will ever upgrade from a Stroboframe, then go ahead and spring for this bracket first. It's money saved over the long haul.

Hope they put a left hand support under the lens area ( like the strobe frame bracket) Than it will be the best bracket ever made for 35 mm style cameras
