Ok, here's the thing... It works but you have to install the heater packs (sold separately) an hour before you go into sever cold conditions. The packs install into a line of 4 pockets. I wish there were 1 or 2 more pockets and they were placed in more random locations. They are all in a line. Generally, the temp inside the camera duck was enough to keep my camera from freezing (it was 19F, blizzard conditions). Don't expect to change lenses often. This is not a fix for that. It protects your gear, allows you to shoot, but its not magic - its prudent. I am very happy with this item. My camera is too expensive to risk damage. On my recent shoot this saved my camera and my right hand which I use without a glove so that I can operate the camera.

Protect your SLR, dSLR, or Camcorder! Protect your investment!
The standard Camera Duck is designed to protect your SLR or dSLR camera from theelements and to keep you shooting in less than optimum circumstances. It will also fit most palm sized camcorders with a side or back mounted display.
Developed with input from Matt Ferraro, Director of Photography at Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ocean Futures Society, the Camera Duck insures that harsh weather conditions are no longer an obstacle to you getting the shot you want.
Regardless whether it be a blazing desert sun, a cold wind-swept glacier, or a tropical downpour you face, you can continue shooting with confidence, knowing your equipment is safe from the elements and in fully operational condition.
Most cameras and batteries start to fail around 32 degrees Farenheit. By utilizing camera duck heat packets in the internal pockets, you can keep your camera warm and functioning. The heat packs, which are non-toxic, odorless, and disposable, provide up to 24 hours of gentle heat.
