As an avid hiker and photographer, this bag is perfect for my needs. It is very easy to adjust the straps for to a comfortable setting and you can wear this bag all day long. I am able to easily fit my 70-200 F2.8, 17-55 F2.8, flash, filters, charging equipment and tripod in this bag and I have plenty of room for more lenses if needed. The bag is very well constructed with durable materials and as an added bonus it will hold a water bladder up to 3L. The only complaint that I have about the bag is that it is a tad on the heavy side, but I don't know how much could really be done about that, and the side mesh pockets are a bit smaller than I would prefer.

I bought this bag from Adorama. I found the design of how to put the camera in the bag is really not good. My camera is Canon 1ds Mark III with a RRS L-shape plate attached at the bottom. My walk around lens is 24-105. If I slide the camera with the lens hood on from the top of the bag as it advertised, it is very sluggish. The camera is hardly put in or out. No matter how I adjust the divider, it always blocks the lens hood at certain degree. I think the whole point of this design is to move the camera quickly. If I have to take the hook off, I have to open the whole compartment and put the hood in the bag. If I always have to open the whole compartment, then why there is top divider hole? Sliding the camera through the top divider hole is so awkward. Another lens I use is 17-40, which has a even bigger hood. This design might be good for some smaller or prime lens. But as it is claimed to fit pro body, you should expect some bigger lens (24-105 is really not that big).

A lot of thought went into this bag, and it fulfills a rather important function: a day hike pack with enough space for water, food, layers, trekking poles & tripod. Especially so if you also purchase the Chest Pack & use it in addition to this backpack. Additionally, the Chest Pack allows for quick access to your DSLR & most oft-used lens. Adjustments are plenty with this bag, & you can find the ideal balance between shoulders & hip for weight placement. My only (minor) complaints are: -The bag itself is considerably heavy, at least in comparison to similar sized backpacking backpacks, such as Deuter, etc. -Haven't used hydration packs in the past, so dunno if I'm qualified to comment. But a full 100oz CamelBak packed into the hydration pocket of this bag makes the back stick out considerably, which is a little (but not too) awkward when wearing the pack. Not a big deal, but I would've loved if they had a sturdy back mesh separating the back of the pack from your back, also allowing for air flow (much like 'Deuter's' "Aircomfort" system). -The cinch straps are great for strapping tripods/trekking poles to the sides, but with my rather heavy Gitzo 2-series tripod, the cinch strap sometimes starts to loosen as I'm hiking. Not a big deal; you can have a friend tighten it, but sometimes can get a bit annoying to have to re-tighten. Hope this helps!
