My Coast HP7R flashlight is the BEST flashlight i have ever owned and really its the best flashlight ive ever came across. Growing up Maglights were the flashlights everyone had and they are ok flashlights but, Coast is #1 when it comes to quality, brightness and dependability. I work in an industrial maintenance setting and ive accidentally dropped my flashlight from 13 feet above onto hard concrete and my light never turned off and continued working through my shift. I swap my battery at the start of my shift each day just to have a fresh battery and to charge my other battery and I've forgotten to do so several times and my light is just as bright as it was when I swapped it two nights before at the start of my 12 hour shift so over 24 hours of almost constant use. I would highly recommended this light to anyone whether its for around the house, work or police/fire/rescue. 10 out of 5 stars. Oh and ive had my flashlight for over 13 years.

This light and nimble Coast rechargeable, is something else. It's not the brightest, but will shine a beam unreasonably far. Typical Coast. It's tough as nails, storm proof and reliable as a sunrise. Thanks, Coast. Another home run.)

This flashlight has blown me away. Simple, reliable and all the perks I need for a tool. Accessories are amazing and useful. The light is pure and bright. Fits in my hand and east to adjust between the different features. The only thing i would say about it is the button does not indicate battery level. Did get extra rechargeable batteries, so keep them handy. The charge does last a good amount. Coast has been and will continue to be my go to.

I had a very old reliable HP7R that recently just would not charge so I called customer service, and they promptly sent me a replacement. This is an amazing light that comes with everything you need to have this as your go to light. Excellent quality and performance. Would highly recommend this light and buying from Coast!

I worked as a conductor for a railroad. When I needed to see what was happening with the train, any other flashlight I used was too dim or didn't last long enough in the cold. My worst experience was when we had a trespasser fatality and my flashlight went out on me half way through the investigation. When I bought this flashlight, it became the only one I carried. Now, I have bought five of them for me and my family for walking dogs in the winter or when the power goes out. Simply the BEST flashlight I have ever owned. The options for powering the flashlight are great and extend the life of the flashlight no matter what gets thrown at you.

I have 3 of these lights because I liked the 1st one so much. The 1st light was a gift and I could not have been happier with its performance. I keep one in my work tool bag, in my truck, and at the house. The brightness is great and the additional batteries and optional AAA battery pack is very nice. I have had a few issues with battery packs but COAST has the best customer service.

I recently purchased the XP11R mistakenly thinking it might be as good as, or better than the HP7R. Far from it. I also recently purchased the HP8R thinking since it was in the same series and a digit higher than the HP7R it must be as good or better. I was disappointed in that one as well. The HP7R is the best Coast flashlight I've owned. I love the distinct ring around the perimeter of the light and the level of brightness is far brighter than the other 2 I mentioned. I guess I'll just buy the HP7R only in the future.

It's awesome! I do a lot of mechanical inspections. The light is not over blinding when looking at metal components! The focus is excellent for looking far into things or beyond cracks. The battery last fairly well. And it has taken abuse ( I've owned several now and many other coast / other brand lights) this is the one. One bad thing. The cap switch fails eventually and the light will randomly go on in pocket. But on a lighter note, Coast has been stellar with their warranties!

I purchased 5 of the HP7R rechargeable flashlights for the guys in my shop last year around Christmas time. They are high quality and come with accessories to use both the recharge type battery or AAA batteries. 1 light finally got broken and I reached out to Coast for warranty, The process was easy to navigate. They replaced the unit and it arrived very quickly. I can't say enough about a company the multi generational that believes in amazing customer service. Well done Coast team, Well done. Merry Christmas and much prosperity in the years to come.

This is one of the handiest little flashlights i've ever owned. Have them in several colors (orange and black) and they perform above expectations. Thinking of ordering a few more of different colors I see that the only one left is the black model. Hey Coast...please bring back the color models! Do the same with the HP3R also. There must be good reason to delete these models from your product line but I'd like to see the rechargeable ones hanging around a little longer

I ran through lights like water, until I got the HP7R. It is durable, versatile and has taken a beating. I don't recommend dropping any tool, but this one has survived 20 ft. drops. The bright color make it easy to find in foliage. It makes a great gift for anyone who experiences power outages. We recently lost power at church. Everyone was using their phone lights. I flipped on my Coast light and pointed it at the ceiling and lit up the whole chapel, and congregation. After the service many asked questions, 2 words: Flashlight Envy.

I have been purchasing the HP7R LED flashlight since, at least 2016. I have broken two, ran one over, one is on the bottom of Lake Superior, at least one is in the landfill or along I-94 between MM 86 and 98. The last one just quit working, battery fully charged, just quit. Finally applied for warranty on this one, Coast sent me a new one. Just purchased another new one. This is the best LED light anyone could have. I use mine on a daily basis, all day at times. Charges quickly, or the battery pack when you cant wait for it to charge. Best LED flashlight, ever.
