I have many 80+ year old negatives with some mildew. These pads and pec-12 solution seem to clean things up fairly well.

Use with Pec-12 to clean slides before scanning. Works, and they don't scratch.

Absolutely no lint or residue from these wipes. You'll be happy that you tried them.

one pack of Pec Pads and a 2oz. bottle of eclipse is like a life time supply of sensor swabs for $20! Why spend big $ on pre made swabs when you can make your own cheap?

Too bulky to carry around in my bag. A couple of microfiber cloths and a blower will do the trick.

I use this to clean my 40 year old black and white and color film and it never scratches and leaves no lint. Could not be better. I cut the sheets into quarters to be more cost effective. i use them only once for each film application to avoid rubbing debris from a previous clean into the film.

These used to come in shrink-wrap package like it's pictured, but now they come in a zip-loc type bag. That's a real shame because the zip-loc type bag allows more dust and other particles than did the shrink wrap style. Do not use these with Zeiss cleaning fluid to clean your lenses. It just smears. For lenses stick to the time tested chamois clothes (microfiber) and Zeiss will do an amazing job. These are good for cleaning the outside of your gear and for cleaning the sensor with Eclipse solution.

I use these all the time for cleaning good lenses, cleaning old slides with PEC-12, cleaning scanner glass, and so on. And I don't worry about scratching things.

Works quite well on a APS-C sensor. I used this with a modified rubber spatula and optical cleaning fluid.

I dusted until my hand fell off, 1 pad and eclipse cleaned the sensor filter in one swipe.

I use these wipes to clean both old and new negatives before scanning. Can't really use them on unmounted slides, but I do use them on unmounted slide film.

I am in the process of converting my slide collection to digital. Sadly, I haven't always taken care of my slides and some of them have accumulated some dust, fingerprints, and occasional spills. I needed to gently clean them and minimize the damage. PEC Pads in combination with PEC-12 spray have worked well so far. I have noticed very little scratching or smearing, and the pads hold together. There are no stray fibers left on the slides when I am through. I thought this was going to be a difficult, frustrating, task, but so far: not bad!

I like to give my equiptment a thorough cleaning (occasionally) that's why I have cleaning fluid, cleaning swabs, and Pec Pads. If you leave a lot of dust on your view finder, mirror, and chamber, the Image Sensor will get dirty quicker. Just cleaning most of the dust out of your camera every so often will make it easier to clean it's Image Sesor and keep it cleaner longer.

A terrific solution for cleaning lenses, eyeglasses, and prints. Packaging makes it difficult to remove one sheet at a time. I would love to see a Kleenex type dispenser for them.

It was very helpful is cleaning some prints without leaving any lint behind. The sheets are small but they get the job done.

I use these pads for the "Copper Hill method" of SLR sensor cleaning. Easy! Fantastic! These are also excellent for wiping smudges from the LCD or coated lenses using an appropriate lens cleaner liquid.

You take one from the pak, you know it's clean, use it once and throw it away.

If you want a totally lint-free cloth for cleaning lenses or other optical products, then these wipes are a must-have.
PEC*PADs are the ideal photo wipes for those who hate photowipes! Until PEC*PADs came along, photowipes fell apart, left lint and scratched emulsions. PEC*PADs are extremely strong, lint-free and so soft and pure (99.999%) it is almost impossible to scratch an emulsion with them. PEC*PADs are so soft they can be safely used to clean all types of sensitive surfaces : scanners, CD's, mirrors, lenses, telescopes etc. When PEC*PADs are used with PEC-12(r), they are ideally suited for cleaning photographic film and print emulsions. PEC*PADs are available in two convenient sizes. The 4 x 4 inch (10 cm.sq.) wipes are perfect for cleaning 35mm and other small areas; the 9 x 9 inch (25 cm.sq.) wipes are best suited for larger film or print formats, murals, scanners etc.
