Poor design using inferior materials

I bought this on 10/1 and it broke on 12/27. During the time in between, the clapboard was not used. The two pieces that clap together are made out of chipboard and the top piece has a hole drilled in it to pivot on the metal rod that acts like a hinge. A section of chipboard less than 1/4" wide broke off the top clapper around the hole, and now it just falls off the slate and is useless.

good quality product

Great product- very nice quality. Bought as a gift and was perfect for use on short films recipient is in. Plus its a cute, nice looking slate to put on a bookshelf when not in use.
