The Shining Technology CitiDISK CFR with 64GB 450X CF Card is an external video capture device designed to record footage directly to the included 64GB 450x CompactFlash card. While shooting with any FireWire-enabled camcorder, you can capture video directly to the rugged and lightweight recorder that records MOV, AVI2, or Canopus/Matrox AVI2 file formats in a pre-formatted FAT32 medium for DV, DVCam, DVCPro, DVCPro50 & DVCProHD and M2T for HDV.

These files can then be easily transferred to a nonlinear editing system, saving you the time-consuming effort of capturing or digitizing footage after the shoot. The CitiDISK CFR can automatically detect which file format is being ingested. With no moving parts, the CFR is ideal for shooting in unstable conditions as the solid-state components eliminate potential hazards found when recording to hard drive based devices.

The built-in LCD screen allows you to navigate various settings and play back recorded video clips through the camera. A 150-minute rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery is embedded in the recorder that ensures non-stop shooting even after the 4.5-hour external battery power starts draining. A belt-configured carrying pouch is included in the package, which can fit multiple types of external battery packs.
