• Grey Neutral Density filters compensate for bright light.
• By under-exposing the sky, they give a better relief to the surfaces and colors of landscapes and architecure.
• They are indispensable in summer, for seaside and mountain photos.
• They are available in six choices to cover every situation.
Just added this filter to other Cokins I already have. The whole series ... especially the graduated NDs ... allow you to put the effect exactly where you need it, and easily stack other filters if needed.
I used this filter when I was in my color film photo class it came in handy.
Very useful when shy is very bright
I use it to darken the skies and not the subject, when there is too much brightness in certain areas and it even out the background
Does what it is supposed to do.
I was most interested in the Cokin P holder and bought this so I could acquaint myself with utilizing the complete system. While I do plan on experimenting with other filters, but this will suffice and works great.
great when varying contrast lighting is a problem
useful to correct difference between lighter parts of image and neighboring darker parts, like sky vs the rest of picture.
As a retired pro, I appreciate any tool that works well when needed. This can slip into a bag or backpack for easy access and use. Generally, I'll just hold a Cokin in front of a lens to get results I want - especially with a graduated ND filter. Grad ND is fine for sunsets and sunrises, among other situations.
Used this filter this past weekend for some sunset shots. Very happy with the results. Great product.
